When my son was learning to talk, we would try to teach him animal sounds as we were reading books or playing. He didn't really pick up on any of them for a long while...except for the tiger.

We focused on that one a bit because T is the initial of my son's name. When we would ask him, "What does the tiger say?", he was very quick to learn the sound and let out an enthusiastic "roar!" at us. That brought the house down every single time.

It took me a few months of periodic work to get this illustration where I wanted it. It has been framed in his room for the last 2 years.He still loves it.
